We will study why Egypt is a 2nd or 3rd word country, explore what are the elements that determine
what a nations status is. Test on Friday

Tuesday:    name other countries that are the same as Egypt in ranking  3 total
Wednesday:  research what is GNP and GDP as related to economics
Thursday:  research GNP and GDP of Germany


7th Grade Social Studies
We will study west Africa chapter 5, focus on the Empire of Ghana, African culture and economics, test on Friday

Tuesday:   finish reading page 151-154 review questions from reading total of 4 questions
Wednesday:  spiders from reading  page 156-160 5 spiders 4 lines
Thursday:   lesson review questions page 161 1-3/ study for test on lesson 1 and 2

8th Grade Social Studies
We will study the beginning of an American Identity, review European Enlightenment Thinkers and how they impacted the Colonies and America, Test on Friday.

6th Grade Social Studies
We will study Ancient Egypt, chapter 5 lesson 1,2 and 3. Understand hunting, fishing, transportation and geography. Study Egyptian Art, writing, math, science and medicine. Test on Friday chapter 5 lesson 1, 2 and 3.

Homework:
Monday-   finish spiders from reading, page 147-149 5 spiders and 4 lines
Tuesday-   lesson review page 151 1-4
Wednesday-  What were the advances in geometry, art, science, and medicine.


7th Grade Social Studies
We will study cross cultural art of Christian and Muslim faiths, focus on the Golden age of Islam, finish map of Europe page A1, study for test on Wednesday chapter 4 lesson 1, 2 and 3 page 121-154.

Homework:

Monday-   review notes on lesson 2 page 121-123
Tuesday-   study for test on lesson 1, 2 and 3 page 121-154
Wednesday-  finish map of Europe
Thursday-  Finish map of  Asia

8th Grade Social Studies
We will study the Back Country, the Scots-Irish, review chapter assessment, test on chapter 4 lesson 1,2,3 and 4 page 105-130.

We will study the first Civilization, understand the traits of Civilization, the role of city states, life in Summer , Sumerian science and technology. Test on chapter 3 lesson 1, 2 &3 on Thursday.

We will study Islam and Muhammad, understand the connections to Judaism and Christianity, review for test on Thursday, chapter 3 Lesson 1,2 &3 page 80-105.
