6th Grade Social Studies
We will study the health practices of the Indian Culture, how the Hindu belief influenced the United States, answer critical thinking questions and assessment on Friday

Homework:
Monday-  Write a paragraph describing the health practices of Indian Culture
Tuesday-  Write the connection between the Indian Culture and American Civil Rights Movement
Wednesday-  Finish critical thinking questions from page 246 5-8
Thursday-  Study for assessment on ch. 7

7th Grade Social Studies
We will study the Land of the Rising Sun, understand the growth of Japanese Culture, learn about the military state and the nobles, assessment  on Friday chapter 8 lesson 1,2 and 3

Homework:
Monday-   answer questions page 254 1-4
Tuesday-   lesson review page 261 1-4
Wednesday-  questions page 271 1-4
Thursday-  study for assessment on the Japanese Culture chapter 8lesson 1,2, and 3

8th grade Social Studies
We will study the Constitution of the United States, Article I, II, and III, close read for understanding of each part, assessment on Friday

Homework:
Monday-  finish handout on Article I,  1-5
Tuesday-  finish questions  from Article I, 6-9
Wednesday-  Finish handout on Article II
Thursday-  answer the questions on Article III, study for assessment

6th Grade Social Studies

We will work on making diagrams of the MLK Jr. Dream Speech, States and Capitals test, chapter 7 lesson 3 Buddhism in India.

Homework:
Tuesday-  work on diagram of MLK Jr. Dream Speech
Wednesday-  study the 50 States and Capitals for assessment tomorrow
Thursday-  answer questions from reading page 232-237 essential questions


7th Grade

We will study MLK Jr. Dream Speech and make a diagram of important elements, study 50 states and Capitals

Homework:
Tuesday-  work on visual expression of the Dream Speech
Wednesday-  study 50 States and Capitals for assessment
Thursday-  answer questions from reading ch. 7 main idea, and critical thinking, ch. review

8th Grade Social Studies

We will study a diagram of the MLK Jr. Dream Speech, study for assessment on the Dream Speech, study the Bill of Rights, and Article I of the Constitution

Homework:
Tuesday-  work on the diagram of the MLK Jr. Speech
Wednesday- study for 50 States and Capitals assessment
Thursday- finish handout on the Bill of Rights

6th Grade Social Studies
We will study the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Speech, learn about Buddhism and Indian's Golden Age.

Homework:
Monday-  write the dream speech 3 times
Tuesday-  finish questions on review questions from reading page 233-239 5 total
Wednesday-  define key terms and concepts

7th Grade Social Studies
We will study the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Speech, video a class discussion of the speech, assessment on the dream speech on Thursday

Homework:
Monday-  write the dream speech 3 times
Tuesday- make a list of terms and concepts not understood and define them
Wednesday-  study for assessment on the elements of the speech

8th Grade Social Studies
We will study the Preamble to the Constitution, identify terms and concepts not understood, study the MLK Jr. Dream Speech for understanding

Homework:
Monday-  write the Preamble 5 times
Tuesday-  study the historical and Biblical concepts in the speech
Wednesday-  study for assessment

We will study India the Sub Continent, focus on the geography, culture and society of India.

Tuesday-  answer questions from reading 5 total page 219-224
Wednesday-  What role do the Untouchables play in Indian culture
Thursday- finish review questions and study for assessment on chapter 7 lesson 1, 2, and 3

7th Grade Social Studies

We will study the relationship of the Chinese and Mongol Empire, return to Chinese rule, assessment on chapter 7 lesson 1, 2 and 3

Tuesday-  answer questions 1-4 page 237
Wednesday-  compare Chinese and European Exploration page 241
Thursday-  study for test chapter 7 lesson 1, 2 and 3

8th Grade Social Studies

We will study the path to victory, understand the legacy of the war, review for assessment on chapter 7

Tuesday-  answer review questions from page 210 1-4
Wednesday-  page 215  5 and 6
Thursday-   assessment questions page 216 vocabulary and all odd questions 1-9
