6th Grade Science:
We will start Iowa testing this week, review vocabulary, read Science Studies Weekly understanding the cell, the basic building block and cell division.

7th Grade Science:
We will work on Iowa Testing this week, explore cell division, and cell reproduction, review cell division from Science Studies Weekly

6th Grade Social Studies:
We will focus on Iowa Testing this week, review vocabulary, discuss Pop Francis visit to America, map skills of Europe and Asia, Introduction to 1st 2nd and 3rd world nations.

We will focus on Iowa testing this week, discuss Pop Francis visit to America last week, introduction to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world nations, map skills of Asia and Europe.

We will work in Iowa Testing this week, discuss pop Francis visit to America, map skills of Asia, Africa,  learn how European power changed in 1588 chapter 2 lesson 2

We read properties of matter, interpret charts and graphs and focus on vocabulary for Iowa testing

Homework:
Monday- study vocabulary, terms and concepts for Iowa testing
Tuesday- define what a property is
Wednesday- give examples of pH. study vocabulary
Thursday- review vocabulary/interpreting charts and graphs

7th Grade Science
We will focus on vocabulary, terms and concepts for Iowa testing, read charts and graphs

Monday- finish interpreting graphs

We will  study scientific inquiry, define key terms and concepts, interpret graphs and charts for Iowa testing.

Monday- write down scientific method and define vocabulary words
Tuesday-  study vocabulary words and concepts
Wednesday-  define vocabulary words and key terms
Thursday-  Study for assessment on vocabulary

7th Grade Social Studies:
We will study terms, names, investigate the role of specialization of cells, understand what pH, and nervous system.

Monday-  define vocabulary words finish questions on  page 27 and 28
Tuesday-  finish questions page 30-32 1-2 study vocabulary
Wednesday-  study concepts, terms and vocabulary
Thursday-  study for assessment on terms and concepts

We will study key terms and names for Iowa testing, focus on Theodore Roosevelt, and how to read political cartoons.

Monday-  extract information from charts and graphs

6th Grade Science
We will study mapping, study writing in science, review vocabulary, summery of article in Science magazine, look at Brain Pop the Earth, assessment on chapter I lesson 3.

Homework:
Tuesday-  make spiders from reading page 28-32  4 spiders and 4 supporting details
Wednesday-  write summery of the Science news article
Thursday-  Math and Science vocations

7th Grade Science
We will study vocabulary words for Iowa testing, discuss cell theory and louis Pasteur, investigate plant and animal cells, look at brain Pop cell structure, assessment on Friday Drawing of animal cell.

Homework:
Tuesday-  define vocabulary words, critical thinking page 15 # 5, drawing of the animal cell page 22 due on Friday
Wednesday-  answer questions page 24, 2,3 and 5
Thursday- finish drawing of the animal cell page 22

6th Grade Social Studies
We will explore navigation back in 1492 and GPS systems, define vocabulary for Iowa  testing,  start lesson 3 chapter I how Archaeologists study the past, focus on the Stone Age, assessment on chapter I lesson 3

Homework:
Tuesday-  answer questions page 23,  #4,5 and 6
Wednesday-  answer all essential and review questions from reading page 25-31  4 questions total
Thursday-  finish stone age chart page 32/study for assessment on chapter I lesson 3

7th Grade Social Studies
We will study how to read maps understand skill builders, review vocabulary for Iowa testing, review chapter 1 lesson 3 and 4 for assessment on Friday.

Homework:
Tuesday-  answer all essential and review questions from reading page 25-28  5 total
Wednesday-  finish questions lesson review page 28,  3-5
Thursday-  finish lesson review questions page 35 1-5/study for assessment on chapter I  lesson 3 & 4

We will explore societies of Europe section 4 chapter I  page 44-48, define vocabulary words for Iowa testing, who were the early European explorers during the 1500's, Brain Pop on Exploration of the new world, assessment on section 4 & 5 chapter I.

Wednesday-  why were Europeans looking for a route to Asia? finish questions on page 53 1-3
