7th Grade Social Studies
We will review all school rules and expectations. Rules for switching and pass out books.
Review Historical Themes in Social Studies. Why Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Speech is important in American History. 50 States Activity.

Tuesday:        Cover all books an have Student handbook signed
Wednesday:   Creative writing what I learned about the importance of the MLK Jr. Dream Speech
Thursday:       Understanding primary and secondary sources pg. S8-S11

6th Grade Social Studies
We will focus on classroom expectations and rules. review rules for switching. Understand Historical Themes, understand patterns in History, Map Skills 50 States. Why is the Martin Luther King Jr. important?

Thursday;       Understanding the Big Idea in History.

8th Grade Social Studies
Students will study History Themes of,  Why Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Speech was so important, and review 50 states. Understand the goal in social studies

Thursday:        Patterns in  History

6, 7, 8th Grade Health/Nutrition
We will study why health and nutrition is important for young Jr. High Students. Understand the role of good nutrition, health, proper rest/sleep and exercise.
