Week of  April 11-15,  2016

6th Grade Science
We will study succession, natural disturbances, primary succession and secondary, understand the impact on ecosystems lesson 3, chapter 9 page 352, study for assessment on Friday.

Homework:
Monday- answer cause and effect questions from reading
Tuesday- spiders from lesson 3 page 352 5 spiders and 4 lines each
Wednesday- write 6 ways we can protect our environment
Thursday- study for assessment

7th Grade Science
We will study sound waves, lesson 2 chapter 12 page 432, understand hoe air pressure affects sound,
the role of temperature to sound, how we reserve and transmit sound. Assessment on Friday.

Homework:
Monday- answer check your reading questions from lesson 2
Tuesday- spiders from reading lesson 3 5/4
Wednesday- check your knowledge questions from chapter 12 lesson 3
Thursday- Study for assessment on sound chapter 12

6th Grade Social Studies
We will study how Judea and Rome interrelated with each other, chapter 10 lesson 3, start drawing of the Diaspora due on Friday, review for assessment chapter 10.

Homework:
Monday- answer review and essential questions from lesson 3 chapter 10 page 342
Tuesday- study for assessment on chapter 10
Wednesday- study for PTG play
Thursday practice PTG play

7th Grade Social Studies
We will study Latin America and the Aztec culturthe, chapter 12 lesson 1 page 392, start drawing of prickly pear on page 404 lesson 2 page 404 due on Thursday.

Homework:
Monday- lesson review questions page 402 1-5
Tuesday- lesson review questions page 415 1-4
Wednesday- finish drawing due tomorrow
Thursday- study PTG play

8th Grade Social Studies
We will study how the tide of war turned 1863 Gettysburg, the victories of U.S. Grant, the end of the war and Appomattox court house. Assessment on Friday.

Homework:
Monday- work on lesson review chapter 17 lesson 1 page 500
Tuesday-work on map skills of the war page 483 due on Friday
Wednesday- why was the Battle of Gettysburg the turning point of the war?
