Week of November 2-6  2015

6th Grade Science
We will study Energy from the Sun, chapter 5, page 179 waves and energy, investigating ultraviolet and infrared light, heating Earth and Earth's energy balance.

Homework:
Monday-  finish spiders from reading page 184-188  4/4
Tuesday-  answer questions 188-195 4 all together
Wednesday-  answer compare and contrast questions
Thursday-  study for assessment

7th Grade Science
We will investigate patterns of Heredity chapter 4 lesson 1 page 88, focus on Dominant and Recessive Alleles, explore probability and outcomes

Homework:
Monday-  answer check your reading questions from reading page 101- 106
Tuesday-  Punnett Squares page 111 answer questions
Wednesday-  review questions from page 115 1-3
Thursday-  Study for assessment and review notes

6th Grade Social Studies
We will focus on Hammurabi, chapter 4 lesson 1 page 112-116, study the legacy of Hammurabi, explore Persian control of Southwest Asia, study for assessment

Monday-  finish spiders from reading page 112-116  5/4
Tuesday-  finish questions on page 123  1-3
Wednesday-  comparisons across Cultures page 132
Thursday-  finish questions on page 136  11-14

7th Grade Social Studies
We will finish Globalization presentations, read about Arabian Peninsula, chapter 3 lesson 1, focus on the world of Islam, review for assessment on Friday

Tuesday-  answer review questions on page 96  1-5
Wednesday-  finish questions on page 103, 1-5
Thursday- finish chapter review questions page 116  11-114

8th Grade Social Studies
We will study the birth of the English Colonies, finish presentation of Globalization project, answer section review questions from lessons 1,2 and 3, review for Assessment

Tuesday-  section review questions page 103 1-4
Wednesday-  finish critical thinking questions page 104 1, 3 and 5
Thursday-   study for assessment
